A Personal Note From Edward-My Other Business
Windows 7 End of Support-No Emergency If You Haven’t Upgraded Your Computer Yet

Edward’s Other Business (No Changes At Lamorinda Technology)

I have been a licensed real estate agent, then real estate broker, since 1979. Most people were not aware of my other business, because I didn’t promote it, and worked only by referral.

Since mid-2019, I have been a full-time real estate broker. I would love to help you or your friends with residential real estate needs and questions.

I did not announce this publicly until now because I wanted some time to pass, so that you would know that nothing has changed at Lamorinda Technology. I am still the sole shareholder and have no plans to sell, or to change anything else about the business.

I still oversee the operations and am available on a limited basis, if you’d like me to provide you with technical support.

Please let me know if you’d like to receive my real estate information either by email or postal mail.

As a shameless plug, I will “sponsor” this newsletter by putting my real estate contact information at the bottom of these newsletters.

Windows End of Support-No Need To Panic-Your Computer Will Still Work After Today

As you may have heard, Microsoft is not releasing (maybe-they have changed their mind on such issues in the past), new security updates or performance enhancements for Windows 7 as of today.

We have had a number of clients contact us concerned that their computers won’t work after today.  Rest assured, if you have a Windows 7 computer, it will still function just fine.

We strongly recommend that you replace-not upgrade-your Windows 7 computer soon, so any new vulnerabilities won’t allow the bad guys to hack in to or damage your computer.

We recommend replacement because Windows 7 computers are almost all over 5 years old, and it doesn’t make financial sense to spend the time and money to upgrade when new computers are so inexpensive.

Here are suggestions for a few Windows computers to consider. If you’d like a specific recommendation, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist.
